Life is meant to be enjoyed.

Do you believe this?

I do, but I don't always remember it. So I keep it on a notecard above my desk.

If you did believe it, how would your life be different?

It wouldn't mean there wouldn't be hard times, or difficult challenges, or that you shouldn't work hard. But it might make all of those things a little better, more pleasant, even enjoyable.

When we believe life is meant to be enjoyed, we look for ways to find enjoyment. And true enjoyment and joy are not usually found in the big things. They are found in the small everyday simple pleasures.

The first cup of coffee in the morning.

A comfy bed to sleep in.

Having a good laugh with a friend.

Seeing the sunshine.

Putting on your favorite sweatshirt.

Holding your grandson. Hugging your spouse or partner.

When we believe life is meant to be enjoyed, we start looking for small ways to enjoy it, every day. Not just on vacation, not just during the weekends, not the big things. Every single day.

And when we look for ways to enjoy life every day, we feel better, and when we feel better, we do better.

Life is meant to be enjoyed.

Until next time,

Mandy
