Where do we go from here?

Happy New Year!

It's been a while since I've written. Here's why.

I was tired, struggling a bit, and ran out of things to say. From talking with clients, I know a lot of you have been feeling the same way. We have fatigue from dealing with COVID, our own family situations, and other things we are managing. It's a lot.

So where do we go from here?

For me, I needed to rest and recharge. That meant letting go of extra things. I spent a lot of time reading, listening to podcasts, journaling, and resting.

I also did some emotional eating, binge watching Netflix, and having an occasional extra drink. It wasn't a perfect process, it was messy. Taking care of ourselves sometimes is.

It isn't about never getting off track or never making a questionable choice. It's about how quickly can we turn it around and move forward in a positive way.

So where are you right now?

Do you need to rest and recharge?

Do you need extra help and support?

What do you need to feel good and be able to move forward each day, at your best? Remembering, of course, that some days our best looks great, and some days our best is messy.

Because I gave myself the time I needed, I'm feeling better.

I hope you give yourself what you need.

It's never selfish to take good care of ourselves. Just the opposite. When we take good care of ourselves, we feel better. When we feel better, we do better, with everyone and everything in our lives.
